Kids Art & Play - Cyanotype Tees for Teens

10-11 AM|Sanctuary

Join artist and educator Christina Lukac for a morning of cyanotype printing on fabric! Students in 9-12th grade will be able to print a smiley face cyanotype shirt using found objects like leaves, flowers, and items you may find around the house. In addition to sun printing on fabric students will also be able to practice printing on paper and experimenting with different objects and printing tools. Sun prints are made when objects are laid on treated paper or fabric and put out in the sun to expose. After washing out our paper and fabric students will see their blue prints revealed! Get ready for a morning of exploration and fun! (If the weather is not cooperating that day we can use a UV light to expose the prints.)

Please email Christina Lukac at christina.e.lukac@gmail.com to give your students shirt size and color before 11/2. Students have the option to pick a white, yellow, or light blue shirt.
