Silent Book Club with Liz

10:30 - 12:00 PM|Art Bar

Silent Book Club Schedule

10:30–10:45 | Settle In, Grab Coffee, Say Hello ☕
We’ll gather in the main space downstairs to start. Take a moment to get comfortable, grab some coffee at the bar, and ease into the morning with a good read in hand. This is a perfect time to say hello and connect with a few friendly faces before we begin.

10:45–11:30 | Quiet Reading Time 📖
Sink into a peaceful stretch of uninterrupted reading—whatever book you’re in the mood for. If life’s been a little too busy to slow down with a book, this is your gentle invitation to pause, relax, and enjoy the simple pleasure of reading alongside others.

11:30–12:00 | Book Speed Dating 💬
Now for a little fun! Pair up with someone nearby, introduce yourselves, and chat about what you’re reading for a few minutes before moving on to the next person. Along the way, pick up a bookmark to jot down any titles that spark your interest—you might just discover your next favorite book!

About your Book Club Host

Hi, I’m Elizabeth Graham—former middle school English teacher turned middle school Assistant Principal, and lifelong book lover. My passion for reading started early (and yes, definitely included ignoring a few chores because I just had to finish one more chapter). These days, while I spend my time supporting students and teachers instead of teaching novels full-time, my love for stories hasn’t gone anywhere.

I’m lucky to call Lancaster City home, where I live in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood near West Art. When I’m not at school or with a book in hand, you can probably find me out and about walking my two mini Bernedoodles, Ziggy and Indie—always happy to stop and chat, especially if it’s about a great read.

I’m excited to begin a book club that combines quiet, self-directed reading time with meaningful connection and conversation.  Hopefully, we can leave with new friends and new additions to the ever-growing TBR list!
