Tuesday Tap Talks with Jennifer Conley

Welcome to our new Tuesday Tap Talk series with F&M professors who will share their expertise, wisdom & interests with the West Art community. Septembers Talk is Tending the Flame: A Dance Artists Research Journey in Celtic Reconstructionist Commmunities featuring Jennifer Conley, Associate Professor of Dance and Chair, Department of Theatre and Dance. 

Jennifer has spent the past five years immersing herself in the Celtic Re/constructionist communities of Bretagne, Ireland, Scotland and Southern England learning the folklore and present-day embodiments of ancient Celtic rituals. This event will be part lecture and part movement workshop highlighting aspects of her research, excerpts of her choreographic works that  emerged in response to these experiences as well as an opportunity for participants to embody their own approach to ritual. No previous movement experience required! All ages and abilities are welcome!
