Sewing 101 with Suzy Dawn

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM|Community Center

This is a beginner series consisting of 4 classes designed for individuals who are unfamiliar with their machine and want a starting point. In our month together, we will cover essential supplies, sewing machine parts and maintenance, stitches, fabric basics, reading patterns, and assembly and best practices for garment construction. We will be making a tote bag as our first project together to practice our new skills. 

Cost: The cost per class is a sliding scale of $25 - $35 per individual for a total of $100 - $120 for the series, and students will need to make a deposit of $25 to enroll. Payment for the rest of the classes will be due at time of first class. 

Size: The limit for students is 10 per class. 

Dates: Feb 9th, Feb 16th, Feb 23rd & Mar 2nd. 


About Suzy: Suzy Dawn studied Dressmaking and Design at Penn Foster and has run her own sewing business, creating custom garments, patterns, and housewares for clients all over the world. She has also worked as a pattern designer and seamstress at a local machine shop, and continues to thrive on creating connections through shared interests, hobbies, and lived experiences.
