Think you've got what it takes to spell "antidisestablishmentarianism" after a couple of drinks? Join us for The Buzzed Bee, the rowdy adult spelling bee where your vocabulary skills are put to the test—alongside your tolerance for antics, heckling, and a little booze. This is no elementary school spelling bee. Yes, there will be a microphone. Yes, there will be judges. And yes, the words will start easy and get downright diabolical. But don’t get too comfortable—between surprise challenges, audience “support,” and themed rounds, anything can happen. Purchase your tickets HERE!
How it works:
– Pre-register
– Compete in rounds that blend legit spelling challenges with unpredictable twists
– Win prizes for Best Speller, Most Creative Misspelling, and more
– Sip, spell, and survive 'til the end to claim ultimate glory (and a questionable trophy)
Cheering sections encouraged. Heckling allowed (within reason). Bragging rights forever. Grab a drink, grab a dictionary (just kidding, that's cheating), and get ready to bee ridiculous.

What to expect at the show:
>> Doors will open at 6:30. The event will start at 7:00. Purchase your tickets HERE!
>> Tickets are $10 in advance (for viewers), and $15 at the door if not sold out. If you would like to participate as a contestant, limited ticketing is available for $20! As always, we’re proud to present an all-ages show!
>> Parking may be available in the small lot across the street. Beyond that, there’s parking available around Buchanan Park and F&M College in the blocks surrounding West Art.
>> Format: This show will be seated in The Sanctuary. Our space is ADA accessible, and we will do our best to accommodate any specific needs.
>> If you haven't yet discovered the magic of the West Art Coffee⚡Bar, now's your chance! We're open from 7 am-10 pm daily, with a full and delicious espresso bar menu, along with a lovely selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, plenty of N/A options, and some tasty bites from our favorite local bakeries. Something for everyone, all day long! Come hang out before the show and experience it for yourself!
